6 Easy Ways To Make Your Entryway Standout
Entrys can be intimidating to design. You want to make sure you fully capture your home in one single space for a great first impression. Whether it’s for your dinner guests or for the neighbor dropping off a treat, you want create a moment that makes people want to come in and experience your home.
Here are my top 6 things to do in your foyer or entryway to make sure you are saying “Welcome to my house” without the actual words:
1. Stair Runner
If you have stairs, I will forever and always say to install a fun stair runner… ESPECIALLY if they are at your front door. Also, we are walking up our stairs all the time, we might as well make the walk beautiful! I mean… I’d be happier getting up if I was coming down this every morning.

2. Gallery Wall
Your home should be a collection of what you love. Whether it is a modernized gallery wall or an eclectic mosaic gallery wall, your entry will be holding a story (pair it with the perfect rug and VOILÀ)!

3. Greenery
Plant foliage can play a large part in the overall feeling of your home. If you have a green thumb, welcome your guests into your home with an array of life (there are also SO many great faux plants out there).

4. Large Scale Photography
Whether it’s a funky piece or a landscape photo, photography sets the tone. I’m a firm believer that wall decor changes an entire space - make sure you select one that tells your story.

5. Painted Floors
If demoing and replacing your floors is not in the cards right now, go all out with floor paint! Before hoping into this project, make sure you have determined that there is a good stopping point (or add a threshold where it makes sense).

6. Lighting
Make a statement with lighting. Whether it’s an overhead chandelier, flush mount or a fun sconce on an open wall, lighting holds a lot of personality and will make one of the biggest impacts in any space (and create a relaxing ambience at night)!
